Could it possibly happen that the Criminal in Chief will finish his term in office as unpopular as GWB?

Thursday, May 28, 2009

Looks like The One, The Lightworker, The Criminal in Chief is getting pushback.

So, we now have a radical, trending authoritarian, political system, coupled with a corporatist approach to economics. The One obviously wants a single party, and is willing to bankrupt opponents. It really does look like we have a watery fascism on our hands.

HOPE! CHANGE!

Oh, and "Eirinn go brea'!"

BTW, I intend to keep the drumbeat going for at least another 3 years. Payback being a bitch, Obama being an empty suit, the Norks now being nuclear armed, American companies fleeing the country, the UAW negotiating with itself over retirement benefits to be picked up by the taxpayer, retirees cheated uot of their savings by a criminal regime, GWoT policies picked up wholesale, etc.

Oh, the joys of being in opposition and having an internet connection!

Fred Brooks gets the spirit!

Say Zhoost! Can I have an Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamen?!?!?!!!!

UPDATE: "...the sort of spontaneous enthusiasm often seen at North Korean pep rallies." Heh.

Hey! One! Lightworker! This guy's got $91k you can expropriate!

Bonus! You can probably get away with anally-raping his wife while pouring sugar in his gas tank at the same time!

HOPE!! CHANGE!!

With regards to Obama's recent nominee to the US Supreme Court:

"I would hope that a wise white Irishman with the richness of his experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a Latina who hasn't lived that life."

Discuss, oh, racism, identity politics, could *I* get away with this, etc.

Yes, yes, I understand. It's Bush's fault.

That Bush! Nominally a moron, he defeated some French guy to become President first time around. Then he defeated a Nobel Award-winning environmentalist film maker to win re-election. He sent eight years shredding the US Constitution while on his chimpy rodeo ride through history. And now that he's gone, The Lightworker, The One who was promised us is doing...nothing...about "the failed policies of the lasst eight yearsr." Well, apart from adopting them.

What will be Obama's Halliburton?

Believe me, it's coming.

I'm at DeKalb Tyre, getting an oil change and tyre rotation for the chariot.

While waiting, I'm listening to the Fox News Saturday morning shows. It's all people screaming at each other. And I guarantee you, CNN, HNN, MSNBC would be no better.

I never thought I'd say this, but I prefer the BBC. It's socialist, but at least it's delivered in a normal conversational tone.

Tax those rich bastards at 100% plus!!!

Hope! Change! A Government big enough to take everything you own!

UPDATE: I'd love to know who got the dealership for free. And why. I'm sure the Obama administration is way above redistributing wealth to political friends.

UPDATE: For some inexplicable reason, Republicans are the ones losing their businesses. Hope! Change! Chicago style.

THOUGHT: Will Republicans treat Democrats similarly when the pendulum sweeps back? Probably not; there won't be anything left worth expropriating. Hope! Change! Socialism, Chicago style.

I miss W.

A perfect recent Sunday.

Gitmo 2.0.

The legacy media now has its talking points.

You know, back in teh day Bill Clinton had to get his cabinet members to amplify his remarks and cover for him. Nowadays, the Fourth Estate is on it.

Yesterday, the President and former Vice President both made speeches about national security.

Cheney made a quiet, but thumping, defense of the previous administration's strategy in the global war on terror.

Obama adopted the previous administration's policies, but behind a gaseous curtain of partisan rhtoric.

Truly an empty suit.

This morning, on the way to work, I was listening to XM National Proletarian Radio, "The Takeaway", I think.

They got to talking about the four Muslim terrorist bastards arrested in New York after attempting to bomb a synagogue, and then they discussed a Pentagon report about the large number of people freed from Guantanamo who end up back in the terrorist trenches, trying to kill Americans.

Then, the airhead interviewer asked the question: "How does this complicate the conversation?"

Think about that.

Conversations get complicated when they're arguments and a fact shows up you'd rather had stayed buried.

Apparently, National Proletarian Radio has an agenda of defending Islamofascism, and actual Islamofascists, caught in the act, "complicate" the "conversation."

BTW, National Proletarian Radio gets U.S. taxpayer money.

Shouldn't Islamofascists pay for their own propaganda?

Yesterday, driving home, I was listening to some XM NPR show or other. "To the Point", I think.

Anyway, the show was all about California voters rejecting ballot initiatives designed to raise their taxes.

The round table discussion featured a couple of journalists, and a number of state workers. I think the State Treasurer was included, as well as a former State Archivist - now in a cushy state-funded sinecure at some university or other.

In other words, left--wing statists (it is National Proletarian Radio, after all), and a collection of bloodsuckers who stand to benefit from tax increases. Though, truth be told, the former archivist sounded as though he was sated enough not to worry one way or the other about voter decisions.

The discussion dwelt on the ignorance of voters, their general stupidity, their unwillingness to sacrifice for the greater good, etc.

Much was made of "refounding" California. In the context of the discussion, it sounded a lot like the government deciding to dissolve the people and select something more to its liking.

Missing from the discussion? Oh, a taxpayer. They probably couldn't find one, given the current California exodus.

Meanwhile, the Governator is talking about cutting aid to the lame, the halt, the young, the old, the insane, those afflicted by criminality and/or house fires. No talk about cutting, oh, cushy sinecures.

National Proletarian Radio is so biased, it'd make a cat laugh.

It appears the Patriot Act, wiretaps, e-mail intercepts, military tribunals, Predator drone attacks, Iraq, Afghanistan - and now Guantánamo - are officially no longer part of the demonic Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld nexus that was shredding the Constitution. Instead they apparently constitute a collection of legitimate anti-terrorism measures designed to thwart killers.

Who'd have thought?!?!?!!!!

Except for the introduction of euphemisms and a few new largely meaningless protocols, there is no longer a Bush-did-it argument. In fact, after years of use, it looks like everything Bush did kept us safe these last eight years.

It's all been politics, all along. Oh, and Democrat voters? Rubes. Pikers. Taken to the cleaners. Been had. Hope! Change! Yeah! Right!

My prediction: Now that the US Senate has refused to shut down Guantanamo; now that radicalised Muslim converts have been arrested attempting to blow up synagogues in New York; now the Pentagon has released - after FOIA lawsuits - a report indicating a large portion of the people released from Gitmo go back to killing Ameicans, the legacy media will fall over itself to write stories about the muslim threat, and how Obama must go back on *all* his campaign promises, because someone else is making him do it.

That lightworker stuff only goes so far, I guess.

Obama's second term? A "Le Car" in every garage. At best.

So, today The One proclaimed new emissions standards for cars operating in the US.

Standards calculated to bankrupt Ford. He already owns GM and Chrysler. He's now forcing Ford into his camp.

Think about that: the President of the USA just issued regulations so he could bankrupt a gigantic American company, and thereby gain control of it.

(Mmmmm. All those UAW voters! All those (taxpayer subsidized) union contributions for re-election. Obama's nipples can surely cut glass!)

We are living in fascist times, and friends of mine - people with whom I have sunk gallons - voted it in.

I hang my head in shame and disgust. I don't know whether I will choose to survive their decisions.

I've never been a beast of (socialist) burden.

Democrats. Ugh,

Victor Davis Hanson wonders.

Me? I think the legacy media will keep the proles lulled while The One does his damage. They won't wake up, until a massive American failure. Which is coming.

I'm not sure what the failure might be, but I'm worried about an Israel/Iran, and/or India/Pakistan showdown.

They look to be coming. And we have decided to let them come. And to be asleep as they come.

Fools, us.

We will pay, and dearly, I'm afraid.

It has again proved true: Don't be an American military member when a Democrat is in the White House. You'll be betrayed, back-stabbed. left with inadequate resources, and spit in the face when you return home.

Democrats. Ugh.

God! I love Brendan Behan. Unrepentant Fenian Bastard! I don't admire his politics, but I have to admire his good humor, and his faith. And that's the best thing about being Irish: we're happy warriors.

Here's a song inspired by his time in prison, from the play "The Quare Fella" (Americans should read: "The Strange Guy." In Ireland, the gay guy is "The Other Fella.")

But you already knew that.

UPDATE: Being an American of Irish birth in the UK, I feel myself to have won about 99.9999999999999999999999% of life's race on 9/2/1962.

I don't know about you, but for me there's nothing better than watching a shark and an octopus get it on.

UPDATE: "We're dealing with a menace."

If Palin were President....

Jon Stewart's right. "Yes We Can" had the attached fine print "...But Only If We Have To."

Hope. Change.

Yeah. Right.

The only difference between Obama and Bush is Obama intends to make the dollar worthless.

Friday, May 15, 2009

So, back in the day, The One grandstanded about deficits, as far as the eye could see, and about the enormous failure of the military tribunals at Guantanamo.

Now elected, the One makes the previous occupant of the White House look liks Scrooge, and the tribunals are back on in Guantanamo.

And there's not a peep out of the usual suspects. Funny, that.

Oh, right, Democrats are running things now.

Hopey. Changey.
