Lech Walesa, of blessed "Solidarity" fame, gave a speech today, wherein he described the US as a declining power, well on the way to socialism. Given the shabby way The Won has treated Poland and Czechoslovakia, and is treating the US, can anyone blame Walesa?
Democrats. Give 'em one-party rule, and they'll give you Carter. Happens every damn time. They just can't be trusted as anything but a rump party, elected to keep the natural center-right tendencies of America in check. Call them our nagging, back-seat-driver conscience, let them guide, but never give them the steering wheel or the purse.
