Zarkawi is dead. Good.

If we can't keep wiping out islamofascists in the same way, we'll eventually be forced to nuke all between Casablanca, Islamabad, Istanbul, and Khartoum. Oh, and northern Nigeria will not be exempt.

Were I a life-loving Muslim, I'd be praying for more of these sorts of successes. Otherwise, Islam will meet its end with the help of God (optional), and a few good Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen.

Ooh-rah!

Just sayin'.

God bless America.

UPDATE: How about this for an ambiguous headline? What's the deal, CNN? Rooting for the terrorists? Did some of Cynthia's $10 million end up in Wolf's back pocket?

UPDATE: The original CNN headline read "Zarqawi Dead, The Fight Goes On", or something close to that. I guess they changed it when they thought about "Hitler Dead, The Fight Goes On" and started worrying about whether they might be seen as supporting al Qaeda. Not that I think they do. They just hate America. Or the Replublican Party. Or President Bush. Or the US military. Or all or some of the above.

Comments:
You said in the Achenblog:

So, here's "Cheers" to the USAF and USA, a pint lifted and drunk, another day without an airplane in a skyscraper, a sociopath dead, and a lesson to the mad dogs of Islam: One more down, however many more to go. And we will get you. Professionally, and with nothing but a crater to mark your end.

Too bad the poor suckers fighting the war in Iraq can't lift a pint. Stuck in the desert, fighting and dying in a war that should never have been started in the first place, and they can't even crack open a beer at the end of a hot, dusty day of combat. Nice of you to tip a pint for them.

Oh come along now.

We do, after all, have a volunteer military. The people who are there volunteered to be ther. And, believe it or not, booze is not that hard to come across in the sandbox.

The war is well worth fighting, if only do drain the fetid swamp that is the Arab world. If we don't deal with them in a small way now, and bring them into the world mainstream, we'll be nuking them ten years from now.

Anyway, thanks for the comment, even though I think you're completely out of touch with reality.

I'm surprised to hear arguments little different than the typical mouth-breather rhetoric of "lets turn Eye-Rak into a glass parkin' lot whoooooo!!" coming from what appears to be a relatively educated individual.

Yes, we killed Zarqawi but in a war where we are fighting several disparate groups of insurgents and terrorists, how does killing one figurehead of one of these organizations help with the big picture? Each success we have fuels the recruitment process for more impressionable, youthful muslims. Given the vast pool of uneducated youth in the region, the supply of soon-to-be Islamic extremists doesn't seem to be running dry anytime soon.

How do you suppose we can succeed in the region without stopping the indoctrination of these islamofacists? I ask not to instigate, instead I'm genuinly curious as to how you are able to write such optimistic postings given the lack of any apparent "light at the end of the tunnel"
