The pity about the current oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico, is that it'll put the brakes on more offshore drilling, leaving us still dependent on disgusting places like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Venezuela.

Why is it that everything The Won, his regime, and his Democrat Congress touches turns into a lie? Haven't they heard of Abraham Lincoln?

So, you can keep the plan you like, as long as you like what's being offered by the government.

Reading about the Goldman-Sachs hearings, I am reminded of Henry Kissinger's remark about the Iran-Iraq War: "It's a pity they can't both lose."

The Won's secretary of Health and Human Services suppressed a report clearly showing The Won's health care plan would raise the cost of health care.

So, here's how the administration works:

1. Pick a part of the economy to nationalize (Health Care, Wall Street).
2. Create a crisis and name an enemy (Insurance companies, Investment bankers).
3. Propose a solution that involves increasing the power of government (Regulation. Regulation).
4. Hold Congressional hearings to demonize the enemy (Waxman, Levin), suppress contrary evidence.
5. Demonize everyone who opposes the solution (Tea Party Patriots, Republicans).
6. Ram the solution through (Health care, Waiting on Wall Street reform).
7. Step and repeat.


Lacking here? Oh, substantive policy discussions. The Won is a thug, running an authoritarian regime, with no interest in discussion, and every interest in getting its way.

He had no option but to do so, of course. However, this health care bill is such a complete disaster, he won't be able to ignore its effects for long.
